CORRECTIONS AND RETRACTIONS

EJI (English Journal of Indragiri): Studies in Education, Literature, and Linguistic is committed to maintaining the accuracy of the scholarly record. Corrections and retractions follow the COPE Retraction Guidelines.

Correction (Erratum / Corrigendum)

If errors are found after publication that affect the meaning of the article but do not invalidate its findings (for example, errors in data, figures, author names, affiliations, or citations), a correction notice is published and linked to the original article. An erratum corrects errors made by the journal; a corrigendum corrects errors made by the authors. Minor typographical errors that do not affect the meaning may be corrected in the online version with a dated note of the change.

Expression of Concern

An expression of concern may be issued when there is inconclusive evidence of misconduct or while an investigation is ongoing, and the editors consider that readers should be alerted.

Retraction

An article will be retracted when there is clear evidence that its findings are unreliable due to misconduct (such as fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism) or honest error, when it constitutes redundant publication, or when it involves unethical research or undisclosed major conflicts of interest.

Procedure and presentation

§  Corrections and retractions may be initiated by authors, readers, editors, or institutions, and are decided by the Editor-in-Chief together with the editorial board.

§  A retraction notice is published, linked to the original article, and states the reason for retraction and who initiated it.

§  The retracted article remains accessible on the website, clearly marked as “Retracted” (watermark on the PDF and a notice on the article page), so that the scholarly record is preserved.

§  Metadata is updated in the indexing services and Crossref.

In exceptional cases involving illegal content, defamation, or serious risk to the public, the article’s content may be removed, with a notice explaining the reason. Requests for correction or retraction can be sent to ejipbifkipunisi@gmail.com
