Prinsip model dan pendekatan pengembangan kurikulum

The rapid advancement of science, technology, and globalization in the twenty-first century requires education to produce individuals who are not only academically competent but also possess critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication skills, and strong character. As a core component of the educational system, the curriculum plays a strategic role in determining educational objectives, content, learning processes, and assessment. This study aims to analyze the principles, models, and approaches of curriculum development as interconnected elements in designing an effective, adaptive, and relevant curriculum. The study employed a qualitative library research design using documentary sources, including books, journal articles, and educational policy documents. Data were analyzed through content analysis involving data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and source triangulation. The findings indicate that curriculum development principles serve as the normative foundation, curriculum models provide the operational framework, and curriculum approaches guide the implementation of learning. The integration of these elements contributes to the development of a systematic, flexible, and responsive curriculum that meets the demands of contemporary education and learners’ needs
